For a while, it seemed as if its cast was stuck in a boring game of push and pull. However, the characters were finally able to move forward for the show?s ending. This can be seen in the Uncontrollably Fond episode 20 English subtitled video at the end of this story.

Contrary to initial reviews, the finale proved that the problem was not so much with the alleged poor acting of its cast, especially Suzy Bae.
According to insiders, 21-year-old actress? character, No Eul, simply did not have much to do. Most of the characters were also not very likeable and interacted ineffectively.
One thing that made the show drag was the extremely sad love story of No Eul and Shin Joon Young. Actor Kim Woo Bin played the said role.
It seemed that the plot simply did not allow the lead characters to just be happy together. This caused the show to move at snail?s pace, especially during the middle of its run. ?
The main characters were finally given a chance to be happy in Uncontrollably Fond episode 20. However, the development was seemingly too late.

Allkpop also pointed out other confusing things about the show?s cast, such as Bae and Woo Bin?s third party, Ji Tae. For someone who was not exactly a bad person throughout the show, it seemed unfair that he ended up with practically nothing in the finale.
The mom of Ji Tae also did not receive any justice for the ordeals that she went through. Antagonist Jung Eun did end up in jail, only to be helped out by her powerful father.
The sub-plot about the romance of Jik and Ha Ru also left viewers hanging.
On a positive note, the arrival of Joon Young?s mom did give the lead character his much-needed closure. Na Ri also ended up dating Gook Young.

Prior to the finale, Uncontrollably Fond ratings dropped to an all-time low of only 7.9 percent. This placed the romantic drama on third place, next to MBC?s W Two Worlds and SBS Network?s Jealousy Incarnate.
